Appearance: Matrimus appears as a shadow, often taking the shape of a man but sometimes an eagle or a badger or simply shifting formlessness.

Divine Associations: Potential, marks of fate, omens, good luck, creative success, gambling.

Mundane Associations: Musical instruments, dice, badgers. A common talisman is a round 'coin' threaded on a chain and worn as an amulet.

Common Offerings: Money, playing cards and gambling tokens, animal skins, game meat.

Common Prayers: Luck in gambling, success in getting a new job, guidance finding one's talent, insight into good things coming.

Blessing: Destined Promise. Foreseeing and fulfilling potential, marking others with their fate, announcing the arrival of something great, promising future.

Affliction: Hollow Prophecy. Disappointment and failure, ruined future or corrupted potential, financial loss, announcing the downfall of something.

Festival: Minor single day festival involving the playing of games of chance and the usual music and feasting and offerings to Matrimus. It's traditional for young new musicians to perform, in hopes of their career being blessed.

General Info and Lore: Considered capricious. Prayers to Matrimus are considered a gamble - if he doesn't like someone, he's likely to answer their prayer in a way they'll regret. Married to Jesper for 400 years. Linked socially or romantically to various other Summoned gods. Temperamental. Sometimes curses music halls if he doesn't like the performers. Has been known to curse negligent and/or alcoholic parents.

Domain: An ever changing ephemeral realm that shifts with his moods and whims. Standard features are cliffs and mountainous landscapes.
